a week in paradise: the ultimate guide to st. petersburg, florida

This summer I’ve been traveling, a lot. My goal is to find where I may want to set up roots. I didn’t have many expectations when deciding to visit St. Pete but it honestly surprised me. During so much of this trip it was so easy to envision my life there. If you are looking to have a chill few days in St. Petersburg, Florida, you’ve come to the right place.

Day 1: Arriving in St. Pete + Getting Settled

Evening

We didnt arrive until later in the day and once we did we headed straight to Publix to stock up on groceries for the week and a pub sub, if you know, you know.

We checked into the cutest airbnb. It did look a little smaller than it did in the photos but it was such a great location; walking distance to everything.

We also drank with the intentions to go out but did not make it!! Rookie mistake.

Day 2: Coffee Shops and Bagel Sandwiches in the Park

Afternoon

Late Breakfast at Petes General and coffee at Flatbread and Butter.

The bagel and coffee shop are situated on Round Lake Park so we ate at the picnic tables at Pete’s and then migrated over to the grass for a huge chill sesh.

Evening

Dinner at Flippers Pizza - get the buffalo chicken pizza! You can thank me later.

Day 3: Seeing the Sights of St. Pete

Morning

I woke up and decided to do a quick workout in addition to a little walk to the St. Pete Pier. Its so beautiful down there and apparently its all pretty new!

Afternoon

I had to take some photos for a sponsored posts so I packed my car with my outfits and picked up a matcha from Flatbread and Butter as a prop. And let me say the matcha was delicious.

Evening

We made dinner at home and took a walk down to the St. Pete Pier to walk it off.

Day 4: Coffee Shops and Treasure Island

Morning

Morning coffee at Paradeco Coffee Roasters. Such a good work atmosphere and very aesthetically pleasing. Paired with some great coffee this was such a dreamy work set up.

We walked along North Straub Park by the water for some extra vitamin d!

Afternoon

I met a sweet subscriber at Book + Bottle. Adaeze it was so fun hanging with you! Book and bottle was such a cute little spot. It had tons of books and such good coffee.

Evening

We swam until the sunset on Treasure Island.

Day 5: More Coffee and lots of Thrifting

Morning

Grabbed some coffee and settled into Black Crow Coffee to get some computer work done. This coffee shop quickly became my favorite coffee shop in the area. It plays great music and has such a homey vibe.

Afternoon

Thrifting in Florida has never disappointed me. I got some lovely pieces at Wendy’s Closet and Goodwill. I could have spent all day thrifting there were so many good finds.

Evening

I met up with my bestie from elementary school who happens to live in St. Pete. It was so fun to relive all of our elementary and middle school memories. We got such yummy sushi at Hook’s.

Day 6: Siesta Key, A “Secluded” Beach, Flying my Drone!

Morning

We took a quick walk around the neighborhood that we were staying in because the houses were unreal. That was my favorite part about St. Pete; so many places to take a casual stroll and the area where we were staying was incredibly walkable.

Afternoon

Made our way to Siesta Key! I have a funny story. I saw someone on instagram post a photo of what seemed to be a secluded beach but the location tagged was “Siesta Key” which I knew Siesta Key didn’t look like that. It had tons of rocks and was a tiny strip of beach with staircases directly up to the houses that were just above.

So what did I do? I zoomed in on Zillow because it has the most realistic map and found what looked most similar to the photo.

We made it to the spot and realized it was at Siesta Key beach although you have to swim around a huge wall and walk a little down the coast to get the seclusion that you may be after!

Ended the outing with lunch at Burritos Mexican Grill in Sarasota which has the best queso I’ve had in a while.

Evening

Finished the night at Upham Beach for the sunset and then dinner back at Flippers Pizza.

Day 7: A Night on The Town

Morning

Breakfast Bagels at Petes General, are we surprised? Coffee and work at Black Crow Coffee.

Afternoon

A little midday swim at St. Pete Beach until the sky opened up and our stuff got drenched.

Evening

Spent the night bar hopping! We started the night at The Yard, not my favorite I will say but we ended the night at 260 First and it was such a good time, we danced until literally 3 AM.

And thats a wrap on my trip to St. Pete, Florida! I am so glad I was able to spend time in such a beautiful place and will certainly be back. I vlogged the whole trip and you can watch that below!

until next time
