the ultimate guide: 48 hours in paris ✨
I welcome you to come along with me as I reminisce on the most dreamy 2 days in the city of love, Paris, France. If you are planning a weekend trip or Paris is a stop on your European holiday, this post is for you. I have a youtube video linked below that showcased our entire trip and am so happy to have you with me for these next few moments. bonjour!
Day 1: Arrive in Paris, The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, and the Magic of Paris ✨
MORNING
We landed in Paris in the morning. It took us a little while to get through customs with the covid regulations. I am vaccinated and at the time, that was enough to get into Paris. A few weeks before your trip, I recommend getting the covid pass so that you can sit in restaurants. You have to be vaccinated to sit in a restaurant!
Taxi to Airbnb
AFTERNOON
Brunch at a local bakery in Asnières-sur-Seine and checked into our Airbnb.
We took the subway into the city and wondered down the Seine from the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower. It was a surreal experience and one that I wont forget any time soon.
EVENING
Dinner at a cafe along the walk. It wasn’t remarkable but there are cafes on every corner and you are bound to find one with something you like!
Once we finally made it to the Eiffel Tower, I was at a loss of words. It was one of the most dreamy moments I’ve had while traveling and a feeling that I hope everyone has the opportunity to experience.
Day 2: Montmartre, Notre Dame, Cafe de Flore + The Eiffel Tower (again)
MORNING
We wanted to grab a lite bite to eat so we made our way to bio c bon to pick up some fruit for the road.
We made our way to Montmartre to see the Sacre Coeur.
This neighborhood is so cute quaint but has a pretty different vibe than the area near the Eiffel Tower.
The Sacre Coeur was absolutely beautiful and one of the most breathtaking experiences on this whole trip. The church was built with such attention to detail and I felt the presence of God since the moment that I walked in.
After wondering through the streets of Montmartre, we took the subway to the Notre Dame and once again, it was breathtaking.
AFTERNOON
I really wanted to live out my Gossip Girl fantasies and eat at Cafe de Flore so we decided to walk the few miles and went through, what came to be, our favorite street in Paris, Rue de Buci. It was filled with shops, cafes, bakeries, and was so alive.
We got to Cafe de Flore and sat by someone who must have been important, although I’m not sure who he was. Everyone was waiting on him hand and foot and he even bought us some drinks as he was leaving.
Dessert at The Smiths Bakery, get the red velvet and carrot cake, you wont regret it.
EVENING
After dinner and dessert, we walked to see the Eiffel Tower during daylight.
Of all of the different spots to see the Eiffel Tower, this was my favorite that we saw. It was the view from Rue de l'Université and it was amazing. Such a busy area but great photo opportunity!
Our time in Paris was coming to an end and to commemorate our unforgettable experience, we watched the sunset form the grassy field in front to the Eiffel Tower and reflected on the past two days.
I lope you guys enjoyed my trip down memory lane to one of my favorite trips ever. A vlog of this entire 48 hours is linked below for your viewing pleasure! cheers!
